In case you haven’t heard, this country is rampant with diabetes.
Two years ago, I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes, a condition which could have later led to a devastating situation.
However, I was able to fend it off with a few lifestyle changes and they may help you, too.
I happen to work behind a computer all day, which puts me at even greater risk for diabetes, among other conditions.
I started to exercise regularly and now I don’t let a day go by without at least a short walk around the neighborhood.
Eat A More Natural Diet
Because I’m always busy, I’d eat convenience foods all the time – which are loaded with sugar, salt and unhealthy chemicals.
I now eat foods from nature, with very few exceptions.
That habit helped me loose 18 pounds, in addition to improving my metabolism and energy levels.
Take Care Of The Stress In Your Life
We all face stress, but if you’re like me, you tend to keep it inside. My doctor told me that’s very unhealthy, so I started meditation.
I now do it every morning as I face each day and often at night, if I dealt with a lot of stressful events at work. It makes life so much more bearable and it’s necessary to truly be healthy.
Don’t take chances with diabetes. It’s just too devastating a disease to live with – especially if it’s preventable in the first place!
